Abstract (EN)
ABSTRACT This thesis presents a contemporary approach that merges art and design disciplines by transferring plastic artworks into clothing designs through artificial intelligence technologies and exhibiting these designs using QR code technology. The digitalization of art—from traditional to contemporary forms—alongside the convergence of technology and creativity and the transformation of the clothing design industry, lays the foundation for a new creative domain. Thus, artworks can be experienced not only within confined spaces such as museums or galleries but also as part of daily life through clothing design, one of the branches of fashion. This study aims to expand the boundaries of art while integrating technological knowledge and transferring cultural heritage to future generations in diverse forms. The sample of plastic artworks forming the scope of this research represents three fundamental branches: painting, sculpture, and ceramics. Pablo Picasso's Guernica, Vincent van Gogh's Almond Blossoms, Johannes Vermeer's Girl with a Pearl Earring, Frida Kahlo's self-portraits, Wassily Kandinsky's geometric abstract compositions, Henri Matisse's La Gerbe, Gustav Klimt's The Kiss, and Jackson Pollock's abstract drip paintings reflect different periods and movements in painting, while Michelangelo's David and The Last Judgmentrepresent sculpture, and ancient Greek Athena ceramics embody ceramic art. These works were analyzed through generative artificial intelligence using prompt algorithms to produce design patterns and visual models suitable for clothing design. Using generative AI tools such as MidJourney, Stable Diffusion, Mage, Adobe Creative, DALL·E, and Canva, a total of forty-six clothing design applications were created. The exhibition method was implemented through QR codes generated with Canva. This study demonstrates that art and design disciplines will continue to converge through digital tools in the future and is considered a significant reference point for innovative approaches in the fashion and clothing design industry.
