Abstract (EN)

In This study, the electrochemical synthesis, corrosion behavior on iron based materials in chloride and sulfate containing solution, thermal stability and electrochemical properties of poly (pyrrole-co-o-toluidine) were investigated. Synthesis of the copolymer was achieved in various monomer feed ratio solution pyrrole:o-toluidine 9:1, 8:2 and 7:3 by using cyclic voltammetry technique. The temperature of synthesis solution was found to have a vital role on copolymerization and film growth, as much as the monomer feed ratio. The copolymer coatings have been characterized by using SEM micrographs, UV-visible and FT-IR spectroscopy techniques and cyclic voltammetry. Also, thermal stability of copolymer film was determined by DSC. The corrosion behavior of copolymer coatings were investigated by means of Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) and anodic polarization curves.
