ABSTRACTWith methylenebisacrylamide and piperazine monomers, MBA-PP copolymers whichconsisting of two components and by adding allylamine to first two monomers MBA-PP-AAcopolymers which consisting of three components were synthesized according to chainpolymerization mechanism.The properties of synthesized MBA-PP and MBA-PP-AA copolymers were investigated bydifferent phsicochemical methods. These are IR and Viscotek which is a SEC system withfour dedectors. With IR copolymer structures are confirmed by clarifying the bond characters.In Viscotek system with four dedectors; UV dedector gave information about copolymerstructure, RI and light scaterring dedectors gave information about molecular weight and thevolume(Rh) which copolymers occupy in water medium and viscosity dedector gaveinformation about the forms of copolymer molecules in water and molecular weight. With hiswork, for the first time molecular weights of MBA-PP and MBA-PP-AA copolymers andstructures of them have been confirmed.In the second step, the copolymer-metal complexes of MBA-PP and MBA-PP-AAcopolymers with cupper in four different cupper/copolymer ratio (1, 0.5, 0.25, 0.1) weresynthesized and for confirming their structures, IR and AAS measurements were done. WithIR the changes occured in bond characters and with AAS the cupper amount in copolymer-cupper complexes were determinedIn the third step, the triple complexes( copolymer-cupper-BSA) of copolymer-cuppercomplexes with bovine serum albumine(BSA) were synthesized. For the first time,theinteraction of MBA-PP ve MBA-PP-AA copolymer with protein in presence of differentcupper amounts was investigated with UV, flourescence spectroscopy and gel electrophoresisin different pH ( 4.5 and 7) values.As a result, with the results gained in this work important informations were obtained aboutdevelopment of new biomedical preparates.Key words: Copolymer, copolymer-metal complex, copolymer-metal-protein complexes,BSA
