Özet (EN)
Today, biochemical mechanisms responsible for cell division and growth, molecules that stimulate cell growth, proteins that control the growth mechanism, genes and mechanisms responsible for limiting growth when necessary, and cancer formation and development are tried to be explained at the molecular level. Apoptosis is the main tumor suppression mechanism in the body. Proteins such as Bcl-2 family, p53, kaspases, cytochrome-c are used in the regulation of apoptosis. Whether cells are prone to apoposis depends on the expression of genes responsible for the synthesis of these molecules and proteins. In addition to using classical chemotherapeutics in cancer treatment, new drug targets are being investigated to improve treatment effectiveness and new molecules are being tried to be identified. In vitro research in cell lines is of great importance in determining the effect of the agents used on cancer cells and using them as candidate molecules for cancer treatment. Understanding the biochemical and molecular mechanism of action of substances is very important for researching new drugs to be developed for the goal. Within the framework of these issues, it is believed that within the scope of this thesis, the effects of certain genes involved in the formation and development of cancer of polyphenolic compounds on expression levels are investigated and contributed to the studies carried out in the development of targeted treatment.
