Abstract (EN)
Polymeric materials are widely used in industrial applications due to their light weight, complex geometries and cheapness. However, polymer materials are not suitable for decorative applications as they absorb light. This deficiency is tried to be prevented by using coatings. Polymer materials are not suitable for coatings made at high temperatures because they pass into the liquid phase at high temperatures. For this reason, the physical vapor deposition method, which allows coating at low temperatures, is one of the most frequently used methods for coating polymers. In this study, the effects of the ionic discharge process that ensures the bonding of the coating to the polymer, the evaporation process in which the coating takes place and the polymer coating made for the coating to last longer have been investigated.
