Abstract (EN)

In this study, the effect of first heater temperature value on yarn and knitted fabric properties of false twist texturing process applied to polyester yarns with different fiber cross section shapes was investigated. A preliminary study was conducted to see the changes in fiber cross section shapes caused by drawing, temperature and twisting in the texturing process. As a result of the preliminary study, draw ratio, twist element combination and heater temperatures were determined from the working parameters. By keeping the determined draw ratio and twist element combination values constant, the effects of the first oven temperature values on four different fiber cross-sectional texturized yarn (DTY) properties and on the fabric knitted with this yarn was analyzed by comparing with fully drawn yarn (FDY). In the theoretical foundations part, information about the properties of polyester fiber, production of polyester POY, FDY and false twist textured yarns and experimental studies on the thesis subject are given. In the experimental part of the study, the results of the yarn count, breaking elongation, breaking strength, crimp elasticity, crimp contraction, crimp stability and shrinkage; the results of the fabric bursting strength, bursting distension, air permeability, thermal resistance and thermal conductivity values were measured and the results were statistically interpreted.
