Textual analysis of popular literary journals in terms ofculture industry: Ot, Kafa and Cins journals

The subject of this study is to make the text analysis of Ot, Kafa and Cins that chosen as a representative sample of popular magazines published in Turkey, In this context, with the understanding of commercialized literature, The content of the magazines, the conversion of popular culture products into the consumption objects from the literature, to be converted into consumption objects, constitutes the problem of the study. While examining the approaches of these magazines to literature, especially the effects of cultural industry on literature and consumption, were taken into consideration. Popular literary magazines have analyzed at the text level in line with the aim of the study and research questions. The qualitative analysis method has used for this. In this study, "Ot, Kafa, Cins" magazines have selected as a sample research object. Ot magazine had launched on February 14, 2013, Kafa magazine on September 1, 2014, and Cins magazine had launched on October 1, 2015. The reason for the selection of these magazines is; Ot and Kafa are the first magazines that published in this field. Cins magazine, on the other hand, it has started to publish at a later date than the other two magazines, but it has discussed in terms of adopting a conservative line. As a result, literary genres had lost their importance in popular literary magazines as a product of the cultural industry. Print quality, cover designs and the topics covered have come to the fore. These magazines are similar in these respects. Therefore, with these magazines, the literature has popularized and have been presented to the reader's consumption.
