Fan groups and social media relations in popular culture axis: The case of three major clubs

The culture that started with human history has reached today with certain transformations and interactions. One of the most remarkable among the classifications and discussions about the concept of culture is the concept of popular culture. One of the cases in which the concept of popular culture, which is in continuous interaction with some social facts, is closely related. Although it varies by country and geography, considering the level of popularity all over the world, football is undoubtedly the most common type of sport in sports. The power and rent arising from this prevalence of football has made football a concept that has social, economic and even political dimensions by not only being a game. Its popularity that turned it into an industry; brought along insights such as fans, viewers, and hooligans. The concept of supporter, which is actually the main actor of football, has experienced some changes over the years. The last point of these changes has been the relationship with social media, which has influenced the whole world. Social media is now one of the most popular places where fans meet, and it has become one of the places that give the most clues about fan culture and perspective within the framework of popular culture. In this study, the most famous and influential fan groups of Turkey's three major clubs Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray and Besiktaş fans of the; The social media accounts of Genç Fenerbahçeliler, Ultraslan and Çarşı were analyzed with the content analysis method and important findings reflecting the attitude of the fans were obtained.
