Clinical evaluation of different approaches to porcelain laminate veneers restoration

In the study, 52 laminate veneers were designed digitally with the keynote program. 52 teeth were traditionally designed by restoring with composite. Before the designs, the patients were photographed and after routine rehearsals, the laminates were cemented. 1-month clinical follow-up of the laminates was performed. In this study, the design of the laminae, patient satisfaction, the number of anterior restorations and the number of contacts visible from the anterior were evaluated. Student's t test, Shapiro-wilk test and Mann-Whitney U test were used in our study. There was no statistical difference between the traditional digital design method in terms of patient satisfaction (p=0.386) There was no statistical difference between the restoration satisfaction between the two design groups (p=0.893). There was no significant difference in the number of visible contacts between the groups. There was no significant difference in the number of anterior restorations between the groups. Importance of the Study; Being a clinical study, the design technique before porcelain laminate veneer restorations has no effect on patient satisfaction in terms of final restoration. It is clinically important that traditional design methods yield equivalent results with very popular and high-cost digital design methods.
