Abstract (EN)
With the digital age, new image production technologies have emerged. These new technologies have led to fundamental changes in the traditional understanding of photography. This new era in photography literature is characterized as post-photography. This study aims to reveal the understanding of image production of post-photography. For this purpose, it tries to determine what the image production sources of post-photography are, what techniques the images are created with, how post-photography relates to reality, and what stylistic features come to the fore in post-photography. In order to find answers to these questions, descriptive analysis method, one of qualitative research methods, is employed. The following results are reached in the study: With the advent of digital technologies, the emergence of programs such as photo editing and 3D modeling has contributed to the development of post-photography. Resources such as online database images, online and analogue found photography have diversified the creative processes in post-photography. With post-photography, artists have turned into curators who combine, pixelate and reproduce existing images, that is, create their own scene, without the need for a camera. Thanks to these features of post-photography, the definition of the artist has evolved from "photographer" to "photo-maker". These artists have moved away from the objectivity claim of traditional photography and presented the reality from their own subjective perspectives. As a result of the study, it is concluded that photography has taken on a brand new identity with all these features of post-photography. Keywords: Post-photography, photography, image, digitalization, reality
