In the post-modern period, the concept of self has gained a value. With the appreciation of the self-concept, developments related to the body have also started to stand out in society. In the periods before the post-modern period, the body is not controlled to this degree by the individual and society. With this attitude adopted by society, the individual has indexed controlling his body to his memory as a social norm. With this change that the individual has undergone, all the practices aimed at regulating the body have started to be perceived as a need, not a desire, in the post-modern period. In the post-modern period, adapting to the body measurements and perception of beauty that society has spread helps the individual, even though it does not determine the position of actors, that is, individuals in society. In the post-modern era, being thin, being thin, being muscular, having a shaped and lean body has started to contain many positive qualities thanks to the thoughts and visuals that social media has also spread. Therefore, it can be seen that individuals are trying to lose weight to achieve the ideal body. Losing weight is of great interest not only to fat individuals, but also to those who are at a healthy weight. This study was planned considering that social media has a spreading effect on ideal body creation actions. In this study, social media users over the age of 18 were asked questions to make sense of the ideal body and social media use. In this study, which was conducted by a qualitative method, the questions that can be evaluated on the ideal body weight status were directed. Thus, individuals' physical and ideal body descriptions, weight experiences, social life experiences, social media use during the use of products, consumption practices, pheneomen, influencers or celebrities have been exposed to the situations of influence.
