Postcolonial African cinema

With respect to world cinema history, African cinema has a different place. Source of this differency roots in the decolonisation process and movements for oppositional cinema which started in 1960s. This study scrutinizes reproduction of colonial period heritages and arising of resistance styles in a reaksioner way in films of African directors. African cinema is a community based. The factors that affect social life such as colonial pass, immigration phenomenon, underdevelopment, struggles foe independency, dictatorates and social oppression have modified the way of African cinema. This study chronologically discuss the films of significant directors from African cinema in which have various oppositions against colonial policies of Western countries. The study concludes that there is an important cultural, political and historical relation between colonial and postcolonial area in regard to African cinema.
