Abstract (EN)

Postmodernism, which gained global recognition in the 1960s, is considered a continuation of modern art. Postmodern typographic poster designs challenge the established norms of modern art, presenting innovative and experimental approaches. In this context, typography goes beyond merely being a tool of communication and becomes a powerful visual form of expression within the design approach. In poster designs, typographic elements appear in fragmented compositions with formal deformations, integrated with colors and visual imagery. Through these typographic images, designs that create an illusionary effect and offer multi-layered visuality are formed. This study aims to examine the reflections of typography, which has evolved from the influence of modern art through postmodern approaches, on poster design. Within the scope of the study, selected examples were used to analyze the design approaches of postmodern artists and their contributions to typographic poster design. As a result of the research, it was concluded that typographic poster design, transformed through postmodern perspectives, has established a foundational structure that shapes contemporary graphic design practices.
