Analysis of Mr. Nobody in the context of the concept of intermovies in postmodern cinema

The relationship with its predecessor, which lies at the basis of postmodernism, also manifests itself intensely in cinema. In the field of cinema, postmodernism comes to the fore with the concepts of intertextuality and intermovies. In this study, firstly, postmodernism is defined and the concepts of intertextuality and intermovies are introduced. These concepts are examined within the framework of cinema and the connection between them is evaluated through the film "Mr. Nobody". Films that have similarities with the film "Mr. Nobody" were examined with the methods of "parody, pastiche, reference, quotation, allusion" of the concept of intermovies and the connections of the sample film with these films were categorized. This categorization process revealed the similarities by placing the similar films side by side with their scene-by-scene visuals and textual connections between scenes were revealed.
