Abstract (EN)

The aim of this research is Fatemah Mirsalimi et al. The aim of this study is to evaluate the validity and reliability of the Turkish version of the Postpartum Depression Literacy Scale, which was developed to measure the literacy level of postpartum depression in 2020. The population of the study, which was carried out in methodological type, consisted of women who applied to Balıkesir Atatürk City Hospital gynecology outpatient clinics, pregnant and puerperal service. 336 women who agreed to participate in the study were included in the study. The data were obtained by face-to-face interview technique by applying the Introductory Information Form and the Turkish version of the Postpartum Depression Literacy Scale to the women who agreed to participate in the study, after obtaining the necessary ethical permissions, between December-2021 and May 2022. In the statistical analysis of the data, in addition to descriptive statistics such as number, percentage, mean and standard deviation, language and content validity, explanatory and confirmatory factor analysis, cronbach's alpha reliability coefficient, test-retest and 27% bottom-upper-item analysis techniques, SPSS 25 and AMOS It was analyzed using 21.0 package programs. As a result of the explanatory factor analysis, it was determined that the scale consisted of a total of 6 sub-dimensions and 27 items, factor loads of all items were above 0.30, explaining 62% of the total variance. As a result of confirmatory factor analysis, it was determined that the fit indices were acceptable and showed perfect fit. The cronbach alpha internal consistency coefficient of the scale was found to be 0.877. In addition, it was seen that the item-total score correlation values of the scale were sufficient, it was distinctive in terms of measuring the desired quality according to the results of 27% sub-topic item analysis, and the correlation of the test-retest analysis results was high. As a result, it was determined that the validity and reliability of the Postpartum Depression Literacy Scale is high and it is an adequate measurement tool that can be used to measure postpartum depression literacy.
