Abstract (EN)

This study was conducted to compare the back curvature of students studying in different types of high schools. The research was conducted on 587 volunteer students aged between 13-19, studying at Sports, Science, Anatolian and Vocational high schools. Personal Information Form, Body Perception Scale (Hovardaoglu, 1993) was applied to the students and their back curvature was measured using "Scoliometer". In the light of the data obtained from the research, it was seen that there were significant differences among the students in terms of the degree of curvature, body perception, phone and computer use according to school types. The degree of curvature of students who use telephone and computer was found to be higher. It was concluded that Sports High School students have less back curvature than other types of high school students due to their active sports life. It is thought that the results will contribute to the literature in future studies in this field. Keywords: Posture, Posture Disorder, Scoliosis, Body İmage
