Abstract (EN)

Alkaloids are chemical compounds with basic character, naturally synthesized by plants, containing nitrogen as heteroatoms in their heterocyclic structure. Although these compounds, which have largely pharmacological effects, first attracted attention with Serturner in 1805, they are the field of study of many people today. Ellipticin and Olivacine alkaloids are important compounds that have prido[4,3-b]carbazole structure and have antitumor activity. Carbazoles; They have properties such as being conjugated, being an electron donor, and facilitating the transition of soluble structures to the ring structure. When the carbazole molecule and the pyridine molecule bond, the compound called pyridocarbazole is formed. Pyridocarbazole compounds were first isolated from plants. The biological activities of these compounds, which are in the alkaloid class, have emerged in many studies and numerous new derivatives have been synthesized and added to the literature. It is thought that pyridocarbazole compounds form a suitable framework for drug design because they enter the DNA structure. Ellipticin and Olivasine, which are pyridocarbazole compounds, are also known to have high antitumor properties. In this study, we tried the formation of pyrido[4,3-b]carbazole and pyrido[3,4-b]carbazole skeletons using the new synthetic route. Synthesis of octahydropyrido[3,4-b]carbazole derivative was carried out. In addition, many tetrahydrocarbazole derivatives were synthesized. The structures of the synthesized compounds were elucidated with FT-IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR and QTOF (MS) spectrophotometer devices.
