Abstract (EN)

The pollen morphologies of Prangos pabularia Lindl., P. meliocarpoides Boiss. var. meliocarpoides, P. peucedanifolia Fenzl., P. heyniae H. Duman & M. F. Watson, P. denticulata Fisch. & Mey., P. platychloena Boiss. ex Tchihat. ssp. platychloena, P. platychloena ssp. Boiss. ex Tchihat. engizekensis H. Duman & M. F. Watson, P. ferulacea (L.) Lindl., P. uechtritzii Boiss. & Hausskn., belonging to the genus of Prangos Lindl. represented with 13 taxa in our country and Ekimia bommuelleri (Hub. - Mor. & Reese) H. Duman & M. F. Watson belonging to the genus Ekimia were investigated. The specimens belonging to these taxa were deposited in the herbaria of ANK, FUH, GAZI and HUB as well as collected from the field studies carried in Ankara, Kayseri, Van, Konya, Bitlis and Burdur. The pollen grains of the 9 taxa belonging to Prangos and 1 taxon belonging to Ekimia were studied by the methods of Wodehouse and Asetoliz (Erdtman). The morphological characteristics of pollen grains were investigated by light (LM), scanning electron (SEM) and 3 taxa belonging to Prangos and 1 taxon belonging to Ekimia were studied by transmisson electron (TEM) scanning electron (SEM) microscopes.Key words: Prangos, Ekimia, pollen morphology, LM, SEM, TEM.
