Abstract (EN)

Thermal power plant waste, pure volatile ash was used as filling material at epoxy matrix composite materials in this study. Volatile ash, used at the study was used both as pure case and modified with quaternary ammonium salts. Affect of type, quantity of filling material, adding of polyethylene glycol (PEG) material to physic-mechanic and thermal features of composite materials was examined. Features of composite materials, X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) analysis, Scanned Electron Microscope (SEM) Analysis, Thermo Gravimetric Analysis (TGA), tensile strength, hardness value, and corrosion resistance were determined through adhesion test %, water sorption test. Analysis results of obtained products were compared with each other and pure epoxy resin. At the end of performed study, highest tensile strength was found at composite materials including 20% pure volatile ash and 20% modified volatile ash respectively 32,88 MPa and 41,63 MPa. With PEG adding to composite materials including 20% pure volatile ash and 20% modified volatile ash, the highest tensile strength was determined as 29,59 MPa and 22,02 MPa at composite materials including 5% pure volatile ash and 5% modified volatile ash. The hardness value was determined as 89 Shore D at composite materials including 20% volatile ash and modified volatile ash; the lowest value was determined as 78 Shore D at composite materials including 15% volatile ash with PEG adding and modified volatile ash. It was determined that all of composite materials were resistant against to corrosion. Adhesion test results were 100%. Water sorption of composite material including 20% volatile ash and pure epoxy resin was found 0,7%. It was seen that % water sorption of composite materials were decreased at modification of filling material. SEM images don't show filling material and homogeny diffusion of PEG in epoxy resin therefore surface images were seen rough. Added volatile ash material into composite material showed negative affect even in the less quantity to 50% disintegration temperature.
