Investigation of precipitated calcium carbonate (PCC) production method

Although Turkey is rich in calcit reserves, the innovations in the industry sector, competitive strength, search for new markets let to an interest towards the production of Precipitated Calcium Carbonate (PCC).Calcite -which can be found almost in every region in Turkey-, is being used exceedingly in industry and construction in microns, diminished by the latest modern grinding technologies. However, especially in the production of paper, paint and plastic, PCC is more popular as a product since it has its own advantages to these sectors. However, it?s production stayed limited and unimproved is Turkey.In this study, the production of Precipitated Calcium Carbonate (PCC) has been produced and the marketing possibilities for Turkey were examined. As a result, Ground Calcium Carbonate production process and Turkish Market Research has been compared.
