Evaluation of antimicrobial and antioxidant properties of silver nanoparticles synthesized from Primula vulgaris

In this study, antimicrobial and antioxidant properties of Primula, Primulaceae silver nanoparticles were evaluated. Since ethanol, methanol, acetone, pure water and boiling are the extraction method, the appropriate nitrate (AgNO3) solution is added and contains silver nanoparticle (AgNP). Silver nanoparticle extracts from primula vulgaris leaf, flower and root extracts contain agar well diffusion method in various microbial strains, made from antimicrobial requirement. Characterization of nanoparticles measured on UV-Vis spectroscopy. Nanoparticles have been studied that have been met with yeast species with Gram (+) and Gram (-) bacteria. AgNP appears to have antimicrobial properties. P. vulgaris extracts of leaf, flower and root extracts prepared with DMSO, boiling, methanol, ethanol, acetone and purified water synthesized AgNP in the presence of AgNO3. B. subtilis, C. jejuni, E. aerogenes, K. pneumoniae, A. hydrophila, S. dysenteriae, S. epidermidis, S. typhimurium. Other bacteria contain zones of inhibition of 8 mm and below. The flower extract also contains these bacteria; P. aeruginosa, S. aureus, B. cereus, S. typhimurium show an inhibition zone between 10-20 mm, while other bacteria contain zones 6 mm and below. In root extracts, these bacteria; C. jejuni, A, hydrophila, S. epidermidis show an inhibition zone of 5-15, while other bacteria show an antimicrobial effect of 5 mm and below. S. boulardii, C. albicans, C. glabrata, C. parapsilosis and C. tropicalis form a zone diameter of 10-25 mm.C. tropicalis> C. glabrata> C. parapsilosis> C. albicans> S. boulardii are also seen. AgNP obtained from P. vulgaris extracts contains more antimicrobial activity to yeasts than bacteria. Herbal phytochemicals stand out as important compounds. Saponins show antibacterial properties. Phytochemicals also help the mechanism of antioxidant action. The DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrilhydrazil) method is required to demonstrate the selectivity of P. vulgaris antioxidants. P. vulgaris' leaf, root and flower extracts were mixed with DPPH methanol solution. DPPH solutions should be antioxidant by removing DPPH radical from 517 nm absorbance.
