Prof. Dr. Seren AKAVCI In this thesis, the popular PROBINA ORION computer program which is used in building project offices is investigated in terms of the analysis aspect of the new Turkish Earthquake Code. To begin with several building structural systems are solved by the ANSYS5.3 and the results are checked with those obtained by SAP- 2000, which are two well known general purpose structural computer programs. These results are than compared with those obtained by PROBINA ORION program. In addition to this, the theory on which the PROBINA ORION program is based on is also studied. Therefore, to what extend the analysis aspect of the new Turkish earthquake code is fulfilled by the popular PROBINA ORION computer program is investigated.
