Abstract (EN)

Chemical looping gasification (CLG) is an innovative process developed for the production of syngas by the gasification of fossil and biomass solid fuels. It can be integrated into the CLG process, chemical looping combustion (CLC), and chemical looping reforming (CLR) processes for sustainable energy and hydrogen production. For the gasification of solid fuels, coal direct chemical looping (CDCL) process development studies are carried out, in which chemical looping processes are used together. In this study, Simsci Pro/İİ chemical process simulation program was used to simulate the CDCL system. For hydrogen production CDCL process models were created by using Soma lignite and biomass (sawdust) as solid fuel and hematite ore as an oxygen carrier. The effects of process parameters such as Soma lignite coal, wood sawdust, and oxygen carrier ratio, air and fuel reactor temperatures, and the amount of oxygen carriers on gasification products and hydrogen yield were investigated.
