Views of project school managers on entrepreneur leadership roles

In this study it was aimed to analyze the opinions and evaluations of managers working in project schools about entrepreneurial leadership, to explore managers' managerial and leadership characteristics, to analyze entrepreneurial leadership behaviors in their current projects and applications. In this context, it was also tried to determine the level of entrepreneurial leadership characteristics of the managers participating in the study. In this study, holistic multiple case design, one of the qualitative research techniques, was used. The participant group of the research consists of 13 project school administrators working in Antalya. The data were collected through individual face-to-face interviews and 15 questions were asked to the participants by using the semi-structured interview form technique. Content analysis was used to analyze the data. The data obtained in the research process shows that the project school administrators were open to communication, risk-taking, solution-oriented, innovative, collaborative, analytical, planned, exchanging ideas, caring about employee motivation and passionate, and most of the administrators tried to exhibit entrepreneurial leadership characteristics in the form of practices and management. However, although their areas of authority seem to be expanded, in fact, some managers are afraid of taking risks due to current regulations and procedures, they are insufficient to evaluate opportunities, limited in producing solutions to problems and sustaining decisions. Also, it has been concluded that as the education level and service period of the managers increase, they act more courageously in their entrepreneurial leadership behaviors.
