Abstract (EN)
Propolis is a product that has been shown by many scientific studies that it has antifungal biological activities used in the treatment of various diseases in traditional medicine for many years. In our study, the antifungal effect of 7 different doses prepared from 20% ethanol containing Propolis against 21 Candida albicans isolates causing urinary tract infection was tested by disk diffusion method. It has been found to have a lower effect compared to antifungal control. Inhibition zones were observed in 6 of the 21 C.albicans isolates. However, the antifungal control were used created an inhibition zone in all isolates. It was concluded that a more detailed study should be carried out, since the lower rate of effect compared to this antifungal control may be due to the virulence of the isolates and the content of the plant and its cover to the region where the propolis was collected.
