Abstract (EN)
Water pollution caused by heavy metal ions such as Pb2+ and Cd2+, which have high toxicity even in trace amounts, has many negative effects on living things. These heavy metal ions must be removed before the waste is released into the environment. Casein hybrid nano flower was synthesized as an alternative to the methods used for the removal of heavy metal ions and was used for the first time as adsorbent for Pb2+ and Cd2+ removal. The effects of contact time, pH, temperature and concentration on the adsorption performance were investigated. As a result of the studies, 60 minutes contact time, buffer-free environment and room conditions (25 ○C) were found to be the optimum parameters. The performance criteria were followed by thermodynamic parameters, adsorption isotherms and adsorption kinetics data were calculated. Langmuir isotherm model and Pseudo Second Order were compatible with. The capacities calculated from Langmuir isotherm for Pb2+ and Cd2+ removal under optimum conditions are 769.23 and 156.25 mg /g, respectively. In addition, with SEM-EDX, BSED, and FT-IR analysis characterization studies were performed.
