Investigation of state/trait anxiety situation of nurses working in psychiatry clinics

Aim: This research was made for anxiety of nurses' in psychiatry clinic. Method: This research of universe consists of nurses in Elazığ Mental Health Hospital .All of nurses include without sample group in this research. Total of nurses attended, these data gather characteristic of patient's social demografic survey and scale of anxiety are used. For evaluated data, percent average test Kruskal-Wallis test are used in this research. Findings: 59.9 % of working women in the study , 74% were married, 59.9 % of bachelor's degree graduates is 69.5 % 52.5% nurses and health status of the detection status is good. The status of workers' anxiety of scale is average of total point 41.00±9.42, continuity anxiety of scale average of total point is 41.00±7.89. According to occupation group, when continuity anxiety of scale is compared, result is important as statistical (p<0.05). In this research according to status of health perception continuity anxiety of scale is important (p<0,05). Discussion and Result: Anxiety of level is found high for nurses in this research.
