Abstract (EN)

Aim: The aim of this thesis is to research the self confidence level of sportsmen who took part in national wrestling teams. By the help of this study the self confidence scale and success perception inventory of a sportsmen who took part in national wrestling team is measured through the psychological ability in their sports career and the contribution of their self confidence to their performance. Results: In this research the self confidence level of the sportmen who took part in national wrestling team and the perception of success is determined and compared. The relationship between the score which is obtained from the Sports Self confidence scale and the perception of success inventory is being tested with the analysis of Pearson Multiplication Moment Correlation. To analyse the data commercial licence statistical software programmes are used. Discussion: As a result of the research, there is no significant difference in the level of self-confidence of wrestlers according to age, income and education level. However, there is a positive and moderate relationship between the perception of achievement total score and Sportive Self-confidence Scale. This result shows us that with the increase in the sports self-confidence level of the Wrestling National Team athletes, the perception of success will increase positively.
