Abstract (EN)

Objective: This study was conducted to determine the relationship between psychotic disorders experienced by individuals with psychotic disorders and developmental period conflicts. Method: Psychological Symptoms Screening Test (SCL 90-R), Modified Psychosocial Development Periods (MEPSI) applied to 53 individuals aged 50-71 years who were diagnosed with psychotic in residential care centers and community mental health centers registered in Istanbul using the relational screening method. And the findings of the semistructured Demographic Information Collection Inventory prepared by the researcher and the relationship between the psychotic disorders experienced by the individuals and developmental conflicts. Results: In this study, it is seen that there is a negative relationship between all of the psychotic disorders experienced by the participants and almost all developmental conflicts.It is also seen that there is a significant negative relationship between gender variable and psychotic disorders experienced by individuals. It is understood that men have more depression, paranoid thinking, psychoticism and sleep-eating disorder. Conclusion: In this study, it is seen that trust and independence from developmental conflicts predict almost all of the psychotic disorders experienced by individuals. In addition, it is seen that the conflict of identity acquisition predicts phobic anxiety disorder and closeness conflict predicts paranoid disorder. Conflicts of success, productivity and integrity do not appear to predict any psychotic disorder. Keywords: Aging, Psychotic Disorder, Developmental Period, Conflict
