The role of psychic distance on the internationalization process: Multiple case study on exporting SMEs

The aim of this study is to determine the role of psychic distance dimensions in the internationalization process of businesses. Multiple case studies were preferred as the research design. The data obtained was analyzed through descriptive and content analysis. As a result, while the impact of psychic distance elements on the internationalization activities of enterprises is observed, technological innovations and developments make it easier to overcome the difficulties in the internationalization dimension. As enterprises increase their working conditions and technical conditions, psychic distance elements cease to be a problem for the enterprises in question.
