Abstract (EN)
Glass fibre reinforced plastic (GFRP) materials, which manifactured using the pultrution proces, the mass adaptation of GFRP sections as secondary and primary load bearing elements has been applied in construction. The pultrusion process became a competitive alternative to traditional structural materials. Factors in choosing GRP materials for structural engineering applications are: lightweight, non corrosive, chemically resistant, possess good fatigue strength, non magnetic, and, subject to the materials selected, provide electrical and flame resistance. Currently, use of the Pultruded GRP sections as secondary and primary load bearing elements has been applied in limited construction.In this study; the structural behaviour of the model greenhouse structure, which constructed using pultruded GRP structural element, has been investigated. The mechanical properties of the pultruded GRP sections have been investigated using national and international standards and the material characteristics were developed to use as greenhouse structural materials. Than the model structures have been modelled in computer using well known finite element programs to investigate the structural behaviour under the static and dynamic loads. The new models have been developed and the application plans were drown. In addition; the pultruded GRP box section and three different connection details have been developed. The numerical outcomes of the greenhouse structure model have been constructed in the field.Keywords: Pultrusion methods, Glass Fibre Reinforced Plastic, Modelling of greenhouse structure
