Abstract (EN)
PC boiler thermal power plant to generate electricity have a great share in Turkey. These aged power plants cause first firing systems, many business problems and performance losses. By examining the firing systems of boiler, combustion optimization has to be done in order to reduce the performance losses of boiler and firing systems. Combustion optimization is also necessary to gather better performance from boiler by arranging boiler to existing coal which has different proporties from design coal. In this work, the parameters affecting combustion were determined and necessary cases for the optimisation of combustion was stated by examining the combustion system of PC boilers used commonly in Turkey. Also, the efficiency of the boiler was calculated by examining the parameters which affect the efficiency on the system.
