Özet (EN)

Risk of chronic kidney disease after radical nephrectomy (RN) has been a subject for many studies. With patients who have small renal tumor, comparative studies showed; RN negatively effects renal functions in long term more and increased cardiovascular system morbidity is shown compared to partial nephrectomy (PN). With this study we aimed to investigate the predictive value of surgical apgar score (SAS) on showing early and long term effects of RN on renal functions. This study includes 111 patients who underwent RN due to renal tumor in our clinic between 2016-2018.This study is based on prospective design and retrospective evaluation of the data. SAS data and preoperative, postoperative 1st day, 6th month and 12th month GFR values were compared. Modification of Diet in Renal Disease (MDRD) was used for the calculation of GFR. Results: There were no significant correlation between SAS scores in RN and the patients' preoperative and early postoperative GFR values but the 6th and 12th month GFR values decreased statistically significantly (p<0,001) in the high-risk group compared to the middle and low-risk group. Conclusion: There was a significant correlation between SAS scores in RN and the patients' 6th month and first one year GFR changes. In order to protect these patients in high-risk group according to SAS score from GFR changes in long term, early kidney protection treatments may be applied and dietary changes may be made.
