Raimondo D'Aronco: Facade formations and details of his constructions in İstanbul

The first part of the thesis is the introduction part. This part includes general information about the reason of choosing this subject, topics, process and methods.The second part includes general information about the westernization of Otoman Empire, Westernization period architecture and architecture problem.In the third part, information about the life of Raimondo D?Aronco and his architectural activities in Italy are given. By examining all his designs in Istanbul, a catalogue study of his designs? forehead characteristics that reached today is made. In this part of the study, necessary measurements are done and photos of the designs are taken. According to these photos and measurements, plans are prepared and catalog studies are done.Fourth part is the evaluation part of this study. With the help of the examples on the catalogues, forehead forms are axplained by tables and photos. Similar and different characteristics are determined.In the fifth part, as a result of examinations and evaluations, designs and architectural design methodology of D?Aronco while he was in Istanbul exposed.Keywords: Westernization, II.
