Ramazan al-Buti 's opinions on The Qur'an and tafsir

This thesis discusses the views of Dr. Muhammad Saeed Ramadan Al-Bouti on topics related to interpretation and the sciences of the Holy Qur'an. In this study, the researcher worked on extrapolating al-Bouti's books, writings and articles, collecting his opinions and preferences for various topics, Qur'anic studies, and interpretive issues. The study reveals Al-Bouti's efforts, contributions and judgments in the field of the sciences and interpretation of the Holy Qur'an and shows the extent of his care for it. It in a way clarifies Al-Bouti's religious, scientific and intellectual methodology on which he based his views. The thesis included three main chapters. The first chapter of this study deals with various aspects of Al-Bouti's life, identity and scientific status as well as his books, writings, programs, positions and jobs that he imitated in his life, in addition to his ideas, opinions and scientific methodology. As for the second chapter of this study, it is related to the topics of the sciences of the Qur'an and its interpretation as the subject of the phenomenon of revelation, tafseer and ta'weel , the indicative interpretation, the historical value of the stories of the Qur'an, the phenomenon of repetition in the Qur'an, the arbitrator and similarity in the Qur'an, the relationship between the Qur'an and the Prophetic Sunnah, as well as the relationship between interpretation, biography and gradation in the Quran. The third chapter of this study talks about contemporary issues related to the Holy Qur'an. Various topics and studies fall under the chapter, such as the topic of scientific interpretation of the Holy Qur'an, contemporary reading of the Holy Qur'an, the phenomenon of Orientalism and Orientalists, revelation and the dynamics of life, the relationship between revelation and life, as well as the relationship between religion and science, the theory of evolution and the concept of jihad in the Holy Quran.
