Özet (EN)

Transportation includes passenger and goods movements carried out by the rapidly growing urban population in our country in order to maintain daily activities. Fifty million trips in one day in our cities are approximately fifteen times the number of trips between cities, by land, iron, sea and air. With the rapid increase in the country's population, urban transportation is increasing day by day, increasing the demand for motor vehicles. Thanks to the developing technology and the increasing prosperity level, electricity consumption in our world is increasing day by day. Therefore, more efficient and efficient ways of using energy resources have been sought. Developments in rail transportation systems have a major role in the development of public transportation systems. Electric rail systems with long transportation lines are the biggest consumers of the electricity distribution network due to the high power they consume. Energy optimization studies in rail systems play a major role in the use of efficient energy in the general electricity network, providing less costly work and a beneficial impact on the environment. One of the main parameters of the optimization studies on energy efficiency in electric rail transportation systems is regenerative braking energy and its recovery. Due to the nature of the engines used in the movement of the rail system vehicles, there has been a decrease in both the in-vehicle electricity need and the energy need at the stations with the recovery of regenerative energy that occurs during braking. Some methods that affect energy saving in urban rail system management have been examined and it has been advocated which parameters in the system affect energy saving. Finally, in the Ankaray Light Metro, effective parameters for energy saving are analyzed with rail system simulation software and the results are evaluated.
