Özet (EN)
The textile industry creates different kinds of wastewater due to the variety of chemicals and auxiliaries used in the dyeing of raw materials. This situation; In addition to the toxic effect in water, it prevents the penetration of light in the water, restricts the oxygen in water and brings environmental problems. Many treatment methods have been developed to overcome these problems. The photocatalytic oxidation process, which is one of the most effective treatment methods and applied in this study, breaks organic pollutants into the final products such as CO2 and H2O. In this study, total organic carbon (TOC) removal efficiency and color removal efficiency of Reactive Blue 19 (RB19) and Reactive Yellow 145 (RY145) dyes, which are widely used in the fixing industry, were investigated. In the system, an air-fed photoreactor, TiO2 (P25) photocatalyst and UV-C light source were used. In this study; the effects of pH, catalyst amount, initial dye concentration, air flow rate, mixing speed and temperature parameters were investigated. As a result of the experiments; under suitable conditions observed (4 g/L for RB19, 3 g/L catalyst amound for RY145; 0.5 L/min. air feed and 600 rpm mixing speed; 200C temperature) 200 mg/L RB19 and 350 mg/L RY145 for maximum color removal as 100% and 98.70% respectively, while the efficiency of TOC removal was 76.00% and 62.40%, respectively. In addition, in the experiment in which the mixture was provided in equal concentrations, the color removal efficiency was increased to 100% with the increase in the amount of catalyst, while the efficiency of TOC removal was determined as 73.70%. In the mixed experiment also examined the effect of initial dye concentrations were and decreased the color and TOC removal efficiency with increasing concentration. As a result, it is thought that this study will create an accumulation of knowledge in heterogeneous photocatalytic degradation methods which will be applied in the treatment of colored wastewater which is being a big problem in textile industry.
