Abstract (EN)
Women employment is seen as an indicator of development of countries in recent years. Therefore, countries are developing and implementing a range of policies to increase women's employment rates. The policies implemented difference in relation to the welfare level of the countries and are reflected in female employment rates. In this study, the appropriateness of the legislation and policies towards women in the labor market and the welfare regimes they represent were evaluated in the countries selected by considering the three welfare typology of Esping Andersen. Sweden, England and Germany has been selected countries for the three regime types - social democratic, liberal, conservative - of Esping Andersen. Turkey has been selected as example country for the Southern European welfare regime which is included later. There are many policies for women's employment in working life. However, in this study, legislation and policies are included, taking into account the reconciliation of work and family life, which is a more dominant problem due to gender roles for women. In this direction, it was aimed to determine how countries respond to the need in question and to conform to the welfare regimes represented by the countries in order to reconciliation of work and family life.
