Stylistic analysis of Refik Halit Karay's stories

This work consists of the stylometric examination of Memleket Hikayeleri and Gurbet Hikayeleri. This work mainly focuses on Refik Halit Karatay's life and work, then some information about his wording and tone is given as well. The first part, where Memleket Hikayeleri and Gurbet Hikayeleri examined stylometrically, contains the main topic of my thesis. All stories examined stylistically in seven parts. The first section contains captions of the stories, the second section contains capacities of the stories, the third section contains changes done by the author, the fourth section contains sentences, the fifth section contains the relationship between the venues and wording, the sixth section contains the relationship between the characters and wording. In the last part, the seventh section, there are conflicted elements, comedic criticism, irony, and turn of phrase relationships. In the end, there is a place given for conclusion and bibliography. This work shows that with Refik Halit Karatay's use of language and her way of using Turkish, he has a special place in Turkish Literature.
