Abstract (EN)

Cinema is one of the most important mass media in our day. While popular cinema products take the the box office rankings as the main success, a group of directors brought a different breath to the cinema. These directors created films in a unique style by not seeing the cinema as the commercial gain subject. Reha Erdem is one of these directors. He has successfully used his own cinematic language in his films, placed his cinematic features in his films, and proved that it is possible to be a successful filmmaker without ever worrying about the box office. His films have received great interest in important cinema platforms and were deemed worthy of many awards. Reha Erdem is a filmmaker who puts issues about human and community at the focus of his films. In his films, he succeeded in creating his own reality by rejecting a common sense of reality. In addition to its powerful cinematic features, Reha Erdem's films are powerful narratives that address human and community issues. This study is about the examination of Reha Erdem's Korkuyorum Anne film in the context of masculinity. Taking the gender roles into account, the position of male gender in society is irradiated.
