The effect of the Self-Management Strategies Mobile Application (KYS-MU) offered by the school counselors, on the on-task behavi̇or of the students who receive education through inclusion/integration

The aim of this research is to determine the effect 'Self-Management Strategies Intervention Application (KYS-MU)'offered by school councelors, on the rate of on-task behavior of the students who receive education through inclusion/integration. One of the single-subject research designs, the Changing Criteria Model was used in this research. Two school counselor and two fourth-grade students who received education through inclusion/integration participated in the research. First, school counselors had five sessions of training about Self-Management Strategies and how to teach these strategies to students. After the training was completed, the implementation process of the research started. School counselors taught students how to use KYS-MU with the 'Teaching Plan of Using KYS-MU Skills'and conducted the application session. When the results were examined at the end of the research, it was seen that the school counselors carried out the intervention successfully. It has been observed that KYS-MU is effective on increasing on-task behavior of the students. In the next education period, in the follow-up session, it was observed that the participants were able to maintain these skills. In the generalization sessions, students increased their on-task behaviors in different lessons by using KYS-MU. The social validity results of the study shows that school counselors, classroom teachers and students expressed positive opinions about KYS-MU.
