Abstract (EN)
Competitor analysis is an analysis tool which was comprised under the assumptions that each firm in the market has different resource endownments and competing market shows different characteristics. Accordingly, firms' resources in the market and competing markets vary in their entirety. The aim of this study is to test whether market commonality and resource similarity degrees affect firms' competitive perceptions on the firms competing in Turkish domestic air transportation market. For this purpose, it is aimed to reveal whether competitive dynamics assumptions work in Turkish domestic airline market. Competitor analysis is conducted for each firms' sides. Therefore, firms' viewpoints vary. In this context, another aim of this study is to reveal whether asymmetry of competition exist among firms competing in domestic airline market. Quantitative research methods are performed in this research. Data's of this study are consisted of primary data (survey) which were conducted on internal and external stakeholders and secondary data which were supplied by authorities. Consequently, there is a significant relationship between perceived competitive tension and market commonality, resource similarity, market concentration and competitive asymmetry and different models which explain competition tension under different aspects were obtained.
