Abstract (EN)

It can be said that besides their positive effects in terms of ecology in intensive urban systems, the urban parks are the places where people can recreate themselves and can fullfill their nature missing. But by the time stituations such as the users not coming to these areas as intensive as expected are being met. Consequently, the purpose of the subject of recreational motivations and conflicts which explores the reasons that affect the participations of the users to urban parks is to determine the reasons of benefiting from the area mostly.In this study questionaries have been applied with the aim of determining the recreational motivations and conflicts which effect the 500 users who participate to Göksu Park and Harikalar Diyarı Park that are located in Ankara city. With the obtained data users? profile and the effects of it on the recreational motivations and conflicts, the satisfaction of the users, and the predominate activites that the users attend have been determined and with these determinations accuracy of the hypothesis generated at the begining of the study are discussed. Eventually it has been determined that motivations and conflicts, general satisfaction and participation to the activities differ according to the parks besides the users profile.Key Words: Recreation, Motivation, Conflict, State Parks, Satisfaction
