Abstract (EN)
This study aims to determine the relationship between recreational sports, well-being, and happiness among individuals who play tennis for recreational purposes, taking into account variables such as gender, age, education level, marital status, frequency of participation in recreational sports activities, and availability of leisure. The research population comprises individuals who play tennis for recreational purposes, while the sample consists of 252 volunteer tennis players who play for recreation and visit Florya sports facilities. The participants were selected using a simple random sampling method. The research was conducted using a quantitative research approach and a relational screening model. Data was collected through an online method using Google Forms. The collected data was then transferred to the IBM SPSS 25 package program for analysis. Normality analyses were performed first, followed by parametric analyses. Statistical analyses included independent sample T-tests, Oneway ANOVA analysis, Post-Hoc, and Pearson Correlation analysis. The study found no significant differences in recreational sports participation and well-being based on gender, marital status, age, education level, or frequency of participation. However, the happiness scale showed significant differences based on the frequency of participation and availability of leisure, while no significant differences were found based on gender, marital status, or education level. A positive correlation was found between recreational sports and the well-being and happiness levels of individuals who engage in tennis for leisure. It can be inferred that they derive happiness from recreational and sports-related activities that impact their well-being.
