Relationship of angiopoietin-4 with oxidative stress in cardiovascular disease

The current study aims to investigate the connection between total oxidative stress (TOS) and the potential of using LEP as a crucial clinical signal of acute myocardial infarction. Additionally, this investigated the connection of the serum angiopoietin-4 levels of Iraqi (acute myocardial infarction patients) and compared those levels to those of the control groups. In this research, it was evaluated of 120 patients, consisting of 60 women and 60 men who have varying degrees of disease activity, as well as a control group that are consist of 40 healthy persons who are the same age, gender, and have the same body mass index. Patients diagnosed with AMI will have measurements taken of their serum levels of angiopoietin-4, lipid profiles, and cardiac enzyme markers. The results of Ang4 indicate that there is statistical significance between the two study groups compared to the control group, which could explain the role of Ang4 involved in many processes, including angiogenesis. The descriptive results of AST also indicated that there were highly substantial differences between the group of patients represented by group B and the control group at P = 0.0005. We also found descriptive results for ALT that there are no substantial differences between the patient group and the control group. Levels of this test may be affected by the treatments the patient is taking at P = 0.063.
