The analysis in the context of values education in Renad Muhammedi's novel Sırat Köprüsü Sultan Galiyev

Köprüsü Sultan Galiyev" and contribute to the field of values education. Document analysis technique which is one of the qualitative research methods has been used in the study. The values in the novel are identified by keeping a record. With these recordings, a list of values has been created by utilizing the values both in the study called "Values Education" published by "Antalya Directorate of National Education" (2013) and in Secondary Education Turkish Language and Literature Teaching Programme (2018). After that, the values determined by recording in the novel have been grouped according to the list. In view of the categorization, the chapters in which the values were mentioned in the novel have been stated with the page number. In the lights of the data obtained, the frequencies of the values are plotted. This study consists of five chapters. In the first part, the aim of the research, its importance, problem status and definitions are given. In the second chapter, the definitions of the concepts related to the study are explained. In addition, the life, art and works of Renad Muhammedi are mentioned and a summary of the novel studied is given. In the third chapter, the method of research is discussed. In the fourth chapter, the findings obtained from the novel are stated with examples. Finally, in the fifth chapter, the results obtained from the study and suggestions are included. As a result of the study, it is decided that the values are referred comprehensively in the novel. According to this, The values that are classified as responsibility, respect, love, importance of communication, goodness, tolerance, patriotism, peace, honesty, being against injustice, good morality and religious values are analyzed. As a result of the findings, it is concluded that the novel can be used as an effective material in the use of literary works in the values education.
