Abstract (EN)

Chronic kidney failure is one of the diseases that are common all over the world, cause morbidity/mortality and force the country's economy. Chronic renal disease (CKD) is irreversible and renal replacement therapies are needed after end-stage renal disease develops. Renal transplantation is the only curative treatment among these treatments. In our study, we aimed to determine the factors affecting the surveillance of the patient and the organ in the post-renal transplantation period and to determine the measures that can be taken against them. Patients older than 18 years of age and followed for at least 1 year between January 2018 and December 2020 were included in the study. Information of 198 patients was scanned retrospectively through the system. 12 patients who came with health tourism, 7 patients in pediatric age and 10 patients who were not followed up were excluded from the study. Treatments, complete blood count, biochemistry values, titer tests and renal functions of the patients included in the study were taken into account. 167 of 198 patients scanned through the system were included in our study (12 patients who came with health tourism, 7 patients at pediatric age and 12 patients who were not followed up were excluded). 103 of the patients were male and 66 of them were female. The mean age of the men was 40.09±13.3, and the mean age of the women was 38.41±13.65. Preoperatively, 65% of the patients were HD, 5% were PD, and 30% were preemptive. Live transplantation was performed in 133 of the patients, and cadaveric transplantation was performed in 34 of them. Exsitus developed in 22 of the transplanted and followed-up patients, and reject developed in 5 of them. HT was found to be the most common cause of chronic renal failure etiology. The mean survival of 22 patients with EX was 148 days (11-600), and the mean survival of 5 patients with rejection was 161 (0-565) days. The most common cause of death in 22 patients with Ex was infection (61%). Among infections, the most common cause was pneumonia. With the precautions to be taken before and after the transplant and a good education to be given to the patients, the losses can be prevented to a great extent. Key words: Renal transplantation, organ surveillance, causes of mortality, rejection
