Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, the plot, characters, time and place of the novels "Eski Hastalık, Ateş Gecesi and Değirmen" written by Reşat Nuri Güntekin in her maturity period were examined. In the novels Eski Hastalık and Ateş Gecesi; Individually weighted subjects that develop around the central hero are covered. In Değirmen, on the other hand, a social and social issue was discussed by mentioning the weak bureaucracy of the Osmanlı İmparatorluğu during its collapse. Choosing Anatolia as the setting in all three novels, the author does not break the people's connection with İstanbul. The plot of his novels usually takes place during the years of the war of Independence. Among the characters are peasant-urban; old New; includes east-west conflicts. This adds excitement and vitality to the work. In terms of getting to know Reşat Nuri, the works in this study gave us important information. Güntekin is a strong writer who gives importance to national elements and values and has seen the years of the National Struggle.
