Abstract (EN)
In this research of career beliefs, gender and academic success on career value predictors of adolencents at 10th, 11th, 12th grades at secondory school were aimed. The research was carried out on 264 high scholl student at 10th, 11th, 12th grades. The grade averages and acedemic success of the students were taken into consideration. The datas related to the students career beliefs were obtained from ''Career Beliefs Inventory''(Ulu, 2007), the datas related to caeer values obtaine from ''Vocational Values Scale'' (Atlı, 2012). The datas related to personel information were obtained from ''Personal Information Form'' which was prepared by the researcher. In addition to them, the datas of the students, academis success were obtained from ''E-Okul'' System of the Ministry of National Education. At the analysis of datas, ''Pearson'' and ''Spearman'' Correlation Coefficient, ''Mann-Whitney U Test''were used. According to the findings of the research, it was seeen that there is a strict connection between the career values of students and team, physical, leardership, gain, creativity, help; this connection was also seen between the career values of students between gender academic success, career beliefs. On the other hand, it wasn't seen between career beliefs and friendship, freedom, help. It was understood that the students with low success give more importance to team work; the students who aim to be police and soldier prefer career values mostly. Besides them, these values are less important for the students that aim to be a psychologist, councelar. While the level of success are increasing, the importance of physical career value is decreasing. The Male students give more importance to physical career value and prefer to be police, soldier and sport trainers. On the other hand this value is less important for the students who aim to be psychologist, counselar. It was seen that the male students reck the leadership more than the female students and the students who want to be police, soldier, lawyer also reck the leardership. The leadership career value is less important for the students who aim to be educators and teachers. It was understood that the important career value for the students is (financial) gain. While the students who aim to attend engineering and architecture faculty give more importance to the (financial) gain. But the students who want to attend sport field give less importance to this value. The male students and the students with low success level, negative belief give more importance to creativity career value. Also the engineering and architecture students give more important to this value. On the other hand, this value is less important for the students who prefer health field. It was seen that the female students reck help career value more than the male students. This value was seen as the most important value for the students who want to study at Faculty of medicine. However, thıs value is less important for the students who want to study engineering and architecture.
