Abstract (EN)
Together with the paintings of cave, which are considered the oldest documents of painting art the practice is much older than the theoretical knowledge. In practice, he has questioned himself by doing new searches in different periods of each age, such as theoretical knowledge. Light, perspective etc. elements are one of the most important achievements of the 20th century in Renaissance Art. "Art and artist" were influenced by this innovation in terms of their meanings. Undoubtedly, the effects of the invention of the camera are enormous. In the context of theorization, new research have emerged and opened up new paths in painting. The surface, a picture element, was transformed into a new space by artists such as Mondrian, Kandinsky and Malevich. The image of the figure was challenged in the reality of each epoch, while remaining intact in all these historical processes. The figurative painting (in the Western sense), which was included in the Turkish painting, was questioned in the structural sense (with the pictorial elements such as surface, figure and geometric form together with the artists after 1950). The study is divided into four parts: the first chapter is titled "Surface in Painting"; Surface in western painting and surface in turkish art. The second part under the title "Figure in Painting"; Figure in Western painting art and figure in Turkish art, and the third section, geometric form in Western art and geometric form in Turkish art. The fourth section, the final chapter of the study, consists of the researcher's studies and the interpretations of these studies. The surface revision I dealt with in this work is a figure; The elements of the dog figure in front and the geometric shape are examined and often tried to show in a form that corresponds to reality. The goal of plastic studies not a beautiful dog image is more of an effective painting without losing the plastic language of painting. With this work, it has been observed that the surface, fıgure and geometrical form used in the art of Western Art is different in almost every period. In Turkish Art, these elements, especially after 1950, were included as structural elements. With the pictures applied, a synthesis was wanted to be made with the "dog" and geometrical form elements chosen as the surface and figure.
